Breast cancer survivor, Carolyn Jorgensen founded the Susan G. Komen Central Valley Race in 1999 because she wanted to ensure that our community had access to life-saving breast cancer education, screening and treatment. Carolyn passed away from a cancer recurrence in 2007. Her legacy lives on while a devoted Komen Central Valley staff and many volunteers continue to make tremendous impact on local lives.
Every step you take in the Komen Central Valley Race for the Cure is a step towards ending breast cancer! Join us on Sunday, October 7 and take the power of ten challenges. Fundraising is easy with the power of ten. Ask ten friends, co-workers or family members to donate ten dollars. This fundraising provides no cost mammograms and diagnostics, assistance to breast cancer survivors, lymph edema treatment and life saving research.
